Forestry applications: 20 July 2026 to 2 August 2026

Both were Felling Permission Applications (FPAs — requests for consent to fell trees), and both remain open for public comment.

Notable applications

• Archbank Forest (FPA-13614) near Moffat is the larger of the two, covering 25.93 hectares — the vast majority of the total area recorded this fortnight. The consultation period runs until 24 August 2026.
• Raeburn Complex (FPA-13608) near Eskdalemuir is a much smaller proposal at 1.08 hectares. Its consultation period closes on 26 August 2026.

Both applications are currently open for comment, giving local residents and other interested parties the opportunity to share their views before decisions are made.
