Comment windows dominate this fortnight, with dozens of felling and woodland applications open for public views alongside a batch of small felling approvals.

Newly captured

Most first-archived records are felling applications open for comment, alongside seven forestry grant cases, the largest being two woodland schemes at Foregin Moor near Carrbridge (about 675 and 147 hectares). One felling case, Castleton House – Eilean Mór near Lochgilphead, appears here as approved because Standingwire first archived it during this period; its decision was issued on 27 August. Statuses are current as observed on 31 August.

Decisions issued

Ten felling applications were approved, all small to medium in scale. Selected examples include Redwells Farm near Kilwinning (about 12 hectares) and Branxholm & Drinkstone near Hawick (about 12 hectares).

Deadlines before the next report

Twenty-five comment windows close between 31 August and 13 September, with a clear concentration in the Scottish Borders. The largest are the Whitslaid woodland creation near Roberton (about 489 hectares), closing 8 September, and Braes of Doune near Dunblane (about 478 hectares), closing 3 September. The felling case at Addinston near Oxton closes on 31 August.
